Measurements all pretty much match the Mac's Ookla results at 300. That app works fine on both the 12 Max and the 12 Mini. But two iPhones doing the exact same thing? So I dwonloaded a competing speedtest app which I do not usually like as much as Ookla.

Had I only bought the one iPhone I would likely have put on my mask and gone to the Apple Store. I take care to match the chosen server to the one the Mac is using and it is an incredible difference. Sometime measures under 100, usually around 150. But when I run the app on both my new iPhone 12s I get the exact same results of very low speeds shown. It shows my Mbps speed to be at or even over the 300 Mbps line I pay for. The Ookla app on my iMac (2019) works great. But both show a disappointing incompatibility with the Ookla Speedtest app. A few days ago we upgraded to my iPhone 12 Pro Max and she loves her new iPhone 12 Mini. And it worked fine on my wife's iPhone 8 and on my iPhone 11 ProMax. I have used it on iPhones for years and years. We took some screenshots of both the desktop and mobile versions of the test, which you can check out below if you’d like to get a better feel for the interface.I usually love this app. Not only did these results align closely with our expectations, but they also were remarkably uniform with almost no variance from test to test. The ping was exactly 11 ms all five times we ran the test, while the mean download and upload speeds registered at 181.1 Mbps and 6.1 Mbps respectively. We will note that the mobile version (Tests 4 and 5) runs a bit faster than the desktop version (Tests 1-3). Let’s get to the results! On average, the test took 4.3 seconds to load, and the entire test takes around 39.6 seconds to run, which is fairly typical for online speed tests. Running the speed test confirmed this, and with rather impressive consistency and reliability as well.

Upon testing this connection with competing speed tests, we determined that our ISP not only lives up to the advertised speeds, but actually exceeds them a bit. To run our speed tests, we used a connection with advertised download speeds of 150 Mbps.
